The mission of ASANA is to secure the long-term conservation of the Path of the Tapir Biological Corridor and surrounding natural areas by empowering local communities and residents to take action in support of conservation actions. We have three campaigs in Global Giving:

Programa de Educación Ambiental para el Corredor Biológico Paso de la Danta

El programa está en proceso de construcción por parte de ASANA,
Instituto de Biodiversidad Tropical (IBT), Reserva Playa Tortuga y los representantes
de SINAC (ACOPAC, ACLAP y ACOSA).
Para el 2013 se van a impartir 4 temas por escuela:
Conectividad, biomonitoreo del Recurso Hídrico, Vida Silvestre, Recursos
marinos/manejo de residuos.
El total de escuelas, para esta primera etapa, es de 10, distribuidas
en 3 para el ACLA-P, 3 para el ACOPAC y 4 para el ACOSA.
Actualmente estamos construyendo el documento base con los 4
temas, incluyendo, objetivos, contenido, actividades y recursos necesarios para
llevarlas a cabo.
La idea surge a partir
de la necesidad de unir esfuerzos para una causa común mejorar la gestión local
en el Corredor Biológico Paso de la Danta, integrando diferentes actores que
trabajan o tienen injerencia en el sitio meta.
